You Can Cut The Cord from your local telephone company.
Unless you run a business with a lot of phone lines and a lot of phone desk tops, you can likely manage your own business telephone system with a little knowledge and a few basic tools.
Don’t get me wrong – if you have no idea which end of the screwdriver to use or can not program your VCR, call the pros!
Do you have 50+ telephone lines and/or a couple dozen employees with telephones at their work station? If you answered yes – check the yellow pages for the experienced help you need.
If, however, you are a small business with a few lines and only a couple telephone stations you may be able to save yourself a lot of money and a lot of waiting around for the phone dude to show up “between 8AM and Noon”.
Maybe you already have a high end telephone system and are tired of the high prices of replacement equipment. You may be able to save a lot of money by buying and replacing your own defective equipment. The local telephone company routinely charges 4, 5, 6 or more times the cost of the replacement equipment plus huge hourly labor rates to replace it. A project often as simple as unplugging one unit and plugging the new one in.
As you explore this site you will learn the basics. While I encourage you to explore the limits of your possibilities, remember that if you make matters worse – it will cost you a lot more once you finally have to call a trained/experienced technician. Only attempt what you are 100% certain you can handle.
